The Missions Department of the Alabama District Council exists to facilitate World Evangelism. The World Missions Department promotes, recruits, interviews and processes those called, from their application to placement on their Field. The core strategy of Missions support is prayer and monthly Missionary support. The Missions Department resources churches, groups and individuals in the endeavor to be involved in world outreach. Pastors are trained, Missionaries are enabled, materials are provided and Missions is headlined. The goal is for all to be qualified as goers or senders.
The core strategies of the Missions Department begin with on-site trips to foreign soil, coaching of Pastors with training and education as to the intricacies and challenges of Missions. The District Council highlights the Missions heart of the District with a Mission Banquet and a full Missions service. Missionaries are featured at all functions possible and Missions is at the forefront of our District’s efforts
Church Planting and Development focuses on the Evangelism of the home front. Church Planters are recruited, assessed, interviewed, guided, supported, prayed for, promoted and funded under the direction of the CP&D Board. At the annual CP&D Banquets, Churches become partners as they commit to this phase of reaching the lost. Navigator’s Network exists to develop the Pastors and their Leadership Teams to face the battle of spiritual versus secular culture. This is done by Coach’s Training and Regional Cohorts for Pastors and Leaders in order to be prepared for preserving the harvest brought by the move of the Holy Spirit.
