Approved Missionary Associate, Ecuador

My name is Shelby Fulcher, and I am from Butler, Alabama. I am so excited to be serving as a MA in Sucúa, Ecuador under the leadership and ministry of Joil and Leah Marbut.

After graduating from Central Bible College, I spent three years as a College/Career Pastor at my home church. It was during that time that the Lord began to ask me if I was willing to go to any place at any price. I had no idea where the path was leading, but I began to submit my heart to whatever the Lord had in store.

I was at the Alabama District Council Missions Service when God began to reveal his plan. After hearing Joil Marbut speak, I told my father that I felt the Lord leading me to work with Pastor Joil in some capacity. Literally five minutes later, a pastor asked me if I would like to go with his church on a trip to Ecuador to work with the Marbuts. I had no doubt that this was a God moment.

That short term trip turned into an invitation for a three month internship. It was during that internship that the Lord revealed to me that it was time to take a leap of faith.

So here I am! I am so excited to be a part of what the Marbuts are doing in Ecuador through Project Three.

What is Project Three? It's simple.

1) Planting Churches

The team in Sucúa has a vision and a burden to plant 100 churches in the next 10 years.

Will you PRAY that God will help us accomplish this task?

2) Training Pastors

Local Shuar pastors come from all over the area to receive training and discipleship so that they can lead the churches that are being planted.

Will you PRAY that God will raise up men and women of faith who are able to lead these churches?

3) Discipling girls in the Hope House.

The Hope House is a ministry that provides Shuar girls from the ages of 10-20 who have been brought out of desperate situations the opportunity to go to school and learn valuable skills that will help them succeed in life. We have the amazing opportunity to introduce these girls to Jesus while they are at the Hope House.

Will you PRAY that these precious girls will find Jesus as they search for meaning and purpose in life?

I know that God has great things in store for me as I spend the next two years in Ecuador. I am humbled to know that I am even a small part of the great plan that God has for these precious people in the jungle. Will you partner with me in prayer and consider partnering with me financially to ensure that those in the Jungles of Ecuador receive the hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ?

Together we can make a difference.
